Last updated: placeholder draft, not yet reviewed by a lawyer.
1. Who this is
thumbs.blog is a hosted blogging service. These terms cover an Author’s use of the free and paid plans, the dashboard, the Author API, and any Blog thumbs.blog serves on your behalf.
2. Accounts
You sign in with a magic link sent to your email, or with a passkey. Keep access to that email address; it is how we reach you and how you recover your account. You are responsible for what is published under your account, including anything posted through the Author API or an agent you have connected.
3. Plans and billing
thumbs.blog offers a free plan and a paid plan. Polar is our merchant of record: it sells the paid plan and handles billing, renewals, cancellation and your card details. We have a no-refund policy. If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you may cancel within 14 days of subscribing for a refund: email support@thumbs.blog.
4. Content and Media
You keep ownership of everything you write and every image you upload as Media. You grant thumbs.blog the license needed to store, process, and serve it back to your Readers — nothing more. Media is stored with our storage provider (Cloudflare R2) and served through Cloudflare.
5. Acceptable use
Don’t use thumbs.blog to publish anything illegal, to impersonate someone else, or to abuse the service (excessive load, attempts to break other Authors’ Blogs, spam). We may suspend a Blog under review or remove content that violates this section, and we may act on a Reader’s report of a Blog. Report abuse, copyright infringement or illegal content to abuse@thumbs.blog.
6. Custom domains and subdomains
A Blog is served at a Subdomain of thumbs.blog or, on the paid plan, a custom domain you point at us. You’re responsible for keeping any custom domain’s DNS pointed correctly; we don’t guarantee a domain stays available if you let its registration lapse.
7. API and integrations
The Author API and MCP server let you or an agent you authorize manage your Blogs programmatically, using an API key or an OAuth connection you control and can revoke at any time from the dashboard.
8. Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates section 5, with notice where practical.
9. Disclaimers and liability
thumbs.blog is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. Continued use of thumbs.blog after an update means you accept the new terms.
11. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to support@thumbs.blog.
